| VuosselinPortti has a well equipped rental shop as well as a ski pass sales point. Hillside Grill next door serves burgers and snacks. |
Vuosseli is the best known and the most traditional of the Ruka slopes. After the super fast RukaExpress chair lift was opened it became even more popular.
RukaExpress
The first super fast 6 person chair lift in Finland was opened for ski season 05-06. The duration of the lift ride up went from 10 minutes down to only 3,5 minutes. The chairs are equipped with a seethrough cover, which makes the ride up comfortable and warm even in cold or windy weather. Single lines are in use so that every spot on each chair is used efficiently and the day on the slopes doesn't have to be spent quieing.
Super Pipe & Cross course
At Vuosseli you can also find the massive 130 meter Super Pipe with an angle of 16,5 degrees. The FIS classified pipe is located on the top part of Vuosseli slope 25. You can't miss it! The cross course is located on the right hand side of Vuosseli slope 23. The course offers challenges to any skier or snowboarder who likes speed! Mini moguls can be found next to the pipe and here you can practise safely before hitting the mighty BatteryRun! The latest addition to the area is the wavy slope on the lower part of Vuosseli slope 25.
Rosa & Rudolf adventure route
The kids' own adventure route can be found on the left side of Ahonlaita slope. There is a gate half way down the slope 27 through which you get on the route. There are all kinds of funny things along the way like real reindeers and a house that you can ski through. The RukaExpress and Kulma lifts take you up the top again.
