The atmospheric Monomesta restaurant serves thirsty and hungry skiers at the bottom of Pessari slopes. Glühwein and Jägertee are the specialities and during the night the restaurant is open on request. Open fire and toilet facilities. |
Pessari 10 is a nice red slope with lots of variation. While skiing down you can admire the views towards Valtavaara and Konttainen fjells.
The steeper side of Pessari offers a more challenging run. The bottom of the slope is nicely sheltered by the woods, which makes it a nice spot to have a break and give your legs a rest. In spring time, it's tempting to stay a bit longer in the warm sun...
At Pessari, the cross country ski track surrounding the Ruka area goes through a tunnel. This new route was opened for ski season 2008-2009.
